Membership in the Biological Society of Washington entitles you to a subscription to the Society's Proceedings, which are published quarterly, and a subscription to the Society's Bulletins which are published irregularly.
PROCEEDINGS
For over a century the Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington has been an important international forum for the publication of systematics papers in the biological sciences. Each volume of the Proceedings comprises about 800 pages, and contains approximately 75 refereed original papers. Representative articles from sample fields include:
- Entomology: New species and records of Neotropical Sisyridae with special reference to Sisyra (Insecta: Neuroptera), O. S. Flint
- Botany: New taxa and combinations of Ageratina from Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela (Eupatoriae: Oxylobinae), H. Robinson
- Paleontology: A new species of night-heron (Ardeidae: Nyctanassa) from quaternary deposits on Bermuda, S. L. Olson & D. B. Wingate
- Vertebrates: The Northern Snakehead Channa argus (Anabantomorpha: Channidae), a non-indigenous fish species in the Potomac River, U.S.A., T. M. Orrell & L. Weigt

BULLETIN
Larger studies, symposia proceedings, and special collections of articles are published from time to time in the Society's Bulletin of the Biological Society of Washington. Representative Bulletins include:
